Roadside Assistance Service (24 Road Assistance)

In the event of a vehicle breakdown or damage during the rental period, Sixt Iceland

relies on the services of the independent roadside assistance provider 24 Road

Assistance. The Renter is responsible for contacting 24 Road Assistance directly to

request assistance. The recommended method is through their website

www.2400.is, which operates 24/7 throughout Iceland. Through the website, the

Renter can also reach 24 Road Assistance via various communication channels,

including email, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger. Alternatively, 24 Road

Assistance can be reached by phone at +354 419 2400.

All roadside assistance services provided by 24 Road Assistance must be paid by

the Renter directly to 24 Road Assistance at the time of service. This applies in all

cases, including where the Renter has purchased protection or insurance that

covers roadside assistance.

If the Renter’s protection package or insurance includes coverage for the roadside

assistance service, the Renter must submit the receipt(s) and any related

documentation to Sixt Iceland at cs@sixt.is.

Sixt Iceland will review the documents and, if coverage applies, will confirm to 24

Road Assistance that the Renter is entitled to a refund. The refund will then be

issued by 24 Road Assistance.

If the incident relates to a mechanical malfunction of the rental vehicle, the Renter

must still pay 24 Road Assistance directly at the time of service. Once all required

documents have been provided and reviewed, Sixt Iceland will confirm to 24 Road

Assistance that the cost is refundable, and the Renter will then be reimbursed by 24

Road Assistance.

By entering into a rental agreement with Sixt Iceland, the Renter acknowledges and

agrees to these roadside assistance terms. Sixt Iceland’s collaboration with 24 Road

Assistance ensures nationwide, 24/7 coverage in case of emergencies. The Renter

accepts that 24 Road Assistance is an independent service provider, and that all

services, fees, and any subsequent refunds are subject to 24 Road Assistance’s

procedures.
