Parking – Skaftafell & Jökulsárlón (Vatnajökull National Park)

Two of the most visited places in South-East Iceland – Skaftafell and the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon – are part of Vatnajökull National Park, and both charge a parking (service) fee.

Price

  • Passenger car (5 seats or fewer): 1,110 ISK per day.
  • The fee is valid until midnight on the day you pay, and you can drive in and out of the area as often as you like that day.
  • If you have already paid at another fee area in the park the same day, you get a 50% discount.

How to pay

  • At the payment machines in the parking lots, or
  • Online or in the Parka app.

Cameras register licenseparking lots plates at the parking lots. Unpaid fees are billed to SIXT as the vehicle owner and passed on to you with a handling fee – see Parking, tolls and fines in Iceland.
