Smoking, Pets and Lost Items

A few simple rules help keep our cars clean and safe for every customer.

No smoking

Smoking is not allowed in any SIXT car.

No pets

Animals are not allowed in our cars.

Cleaning fee

If there is evidence of smoking, animals or other conditions that require deep cleaning of the car, a cleaning fee of EUR 200 is charged.

Lost items

Please check the car carefully before you return it – the glove box, door pockets, under the seats and the trunk. SIXT is not responsible for items left in the car.

If you think you have left something behind:

1. Email us at cs@sixt.is with your rental agreement number and a description of the item.
2. We will do our best to find it.
3. If we find it, we can prepare it for shipping with UPS or DHL. The shipping cost is paid by you.
