Returning Your Car Outside Opening Hours
Arriving late at night or leaving early in the morning? You can return your SIXT car at any time, even when our office is closed.
Where to return the car
SIXT Return Station – Blikavöllur 5, Keflavíkurflugvöllur (open daily 06:00–20:00)

How to return the car outside opening hours
1. Park the car in the marked return area on the side of our building.
2. Drop off the key. Place the key in the key drop-off box on the side wall of our building.
3. You're done! Our team will check in the car the next morning, and you will receive an email confirmation once the return has been processed.
Tip: Before you leave the car, take a few photos of it from all sides, plus the dashboard showing the mileage and fuel or charge level. This protects you if any questions come up later.
Getting back to the airport
Outside opening hours, walk to the terminal – it's about 500 meters, roughly 6 minutes. Walk down to Kjóavöllur and follow it east, then cross the parking lot in front of the terminal on the marked pedestrian walkway:

We recommend dropping your passengers and luggage at the terminal first, so only the driver needs to return the car and walk back.
